Scene 1 (Tom and Johnny at the enlistment center)

 

Tom: Alright Johnny, We’re enlisting in the army, I'm so excited

 

Tom: I wonder how my brother and father are doing at war

 

Recruiter: Ready to serve your country?

 

Johnny: Go sign us up!

 

Recruiter: Alright boys, you’ll be joining the infantry unit

 

Scene 2  (Tom and Johnny training in the army)

 

 Sergeant: Few more push ups guys!

 

Tom: C’mon Johnny, let’s do this! 

 

Johnny: ahh… I’m so tired 

 

Tom: We’ve been training for three years, I feel like we’re ready to go fight

 

Johnny: Yeah, but they say that it’s very violent and scary…

 

Scene 3 (Juno Beach)

 

Tom: We’ve finally arrived at Juno beach

 

Johnny: Wow! So many Canadian soldiers

 

Commander: Hey! We need back up, Tom,

 

Johnny , come fight!

 

Tom: Alright we’re coming!

 

Scene 4 (fighting)

 

Tom: The German forces are pushing us back

 

Johnny: We’ve run out of supplies, we’ve also lost a lot of soldier

 

Tom: We need reinforcements and supplies 

 

Johnny: Hurry up Tom, we need to come up with a plan!

 

Tom: I know! Let gather a small group, and make a distraction so that the others could go gather supplies and reinforcements.

 

 

 

 

Scene 5 (Draw off the German army)

Johnny: Germans coming, we did it !

 

Tom: Be ready to attack at a moment’s notice !

 

Johnny: The Germans have attacked. We have to stall as long as possible and wait for support from the big guns.

 

Tom: Yes, we don’t act rashly, don’t initiate an attack, prepare for defense.

 

Scene 6 (Pinned down by the Germans)

 

Tom: The Germans are attacking too hard. We can’t hold out much longer.

 

Johnny: Half of our teammates have been killed or wounded. If the army doesn’t come, we won’t be able to hold them. (Johnny suddenly been shot)

 

Tom: Johnny !

 

Johnny: Watch your back. Go on, leave me alone ! (a grenade was coming)

 

Tom: Oh, my arm !

 

Scene 7 (be hospitalized)

 

Tom: Doctor, what’s going on in the battlefield?

 

Doctor: good news and bad news. Good news is the big troops arrived and pushed back the Germans.

 

Tom: Perfect ! So what’s the bad news?

 

Doctor: emmm, all the teammates of your team died.

 

Scene 8 (return to one’s home town)

 

Senior official: for your great service to the army, we have decided to give you the highest honor.

 

Tom: So now I can live with my brother and father.

 

Villager: I’m sorry to hear that, but your father and brother were killed on the battlefield.

 

Tom: What? This is impossible ! This can’t be true ! You’re kidding, right? They said they’d make it home!
